The Higher Certificate Course will run onliine, CILT will arrange one in-person seminar day for guest lecturers and networking.

Am I Eligible to do the Course with my Limited Education / Lack of Knowledge / Experience in the Industry?
We welcome all adults to the course who have an interest in logistics, transport and supply chain. We are here to assist you in your learning journey and give you opportunities to meet companies at events and via weekly communication.
Our requirement for the course is Leaving Certificate (or equivalent from other countries).

We also recognise ‘RPL’ Recognition of Prior Learning for students who may have many years experience however may not have completed secondary education.

The Certificate course registration fee is €2,400 per year, Payment in full before the 1st August will enable an early payment discount of 10%. This reduces the fees to €2,160.

Part Payments
CILT can facilitate part payments, but all fees should be paid in full before the start date. Where fees are not fully paid before the start date, all part payments will be refunded, except for the €250 deposit.

Instalments can be paid by direct debit (Contact CILT.IE), by Standing Order or by Debit/Credit Card.

Limited subsidised (30) places are available via CILT Mobility & Supply Chain Skillnet for candidates living in Ireland - CILT Mobility & Supply Chain Skillnet, Higher Certificate support.

Pay deposit of €250.00 to register on the Course and secure the place, pay the balance €2150 before the start date of the course, or pay the balance of the early payment fee (€1910) before the 1st August.

You can claim 20% tax relief on the Two Year QQI Level 6 Higher Certificate under the following rules:
The Two Year Part Time SETU Level 6 Higher Certificate Course for tax relief must be two years in duration (if you only intend on completing one year, Revenue do not allow tax relief).

As this is a Part Time Course under Revenue rules, the first €1,500 is a disregarded amount e.g:
€2,400 (fee per year) minus €1,500 (Revenue disregarded amount) = €900
20% of €900 = €180 per year of tax relief.

Higher Certificate in Business in Sustainable Supply Chains, Digitalisation and Logistics
About the Higher Certificate:
• The Higher Certificate is open to professionals who wish to further their knowledge in the areas of business, logistics, digitalisation and Sustainable supply chain management.
• The course is designed for participants who currently work in the industry but do not have the necessary academic achievements to progress their career.
• Students come from a variety of backgrounds across the logistics, supply chain and transport areas.
• Lecturers are Industry Professionals who give real life case studies and examples during class as well as the academic knowledge to underpin learning experience.
• The Higher Certificate is open to all individuals regardless of experience, we welcome those new to the industry looking to pursue a new career.
• An Exit Award (Minor Certificate) is available to those who only complete Year 1.

Core Textbook for the program is The Handbook of Logistics and Distribution Management - Understanding The Supply Chain 7th ed. by Alan Rushton, Phil Croucher and Peter Baker. Published by Kogan Page 2022. A copy of the core text will be supplied to all students on the Higher Certificate.

Year 1 - Certificate: 6 Modules
• IT Skills, Communications and Academic Writing
• Customs & Dangerous Goods Awareness
• Introduction to Sustainable Supply Chain Management
• Fundamentals of Finance for Supply Chain
• Warehouse and Transport Management
• Marketing & Customer Experience for Supply Chain Management

On completion of Year 1 students may exit & receive a Certificate in Managing Sustainability in Transport and Logistics in Sustainable Supply chains, Digitalisation and Logistics (Minor Award - 60 Credits)

Year 2 - Higher Certificate: 6 Modules
• Advance Finance
• Operations Management
• Applied Human Resource Management
• Digitalisation in Transport and Logistics Management
• Managing Sustainability in Transport and Logistics
• Purchasing Strategies

On completion of Year 2 students are awarded a Higher Certificate in Business in Sustainable Supply Chains, Digitalisation and Logistics (Major Award - 120 Credits).
