Night Classes Autumn 2022
Registration opens in July 2022 for the next group of Night Courses to be delivered in September 2022.

Animal Welfare is a very broad topic. This class will give students, hands on experience on handling dogs, and how to react in emergency situations with first aid tips. You will achieve self confidence in dealing with emergency situations and will learn how to recognise signs of illness. Vaccinations, parasite control and zoo noses are all discussed as part of keeping pets healthy. Irish Animal welfare legislation will be covered in depth – presented in real life case studies of animal cruelty and neglect. This technique is both interesting and engaging and invites you to participate as if you were on the frontline of animal welfare in Ireland. Each term a case study is carried out studying the phenomenon of animal hoarding or puppy farming.

These topics are studied with the aid of videos and slide shows.
Basic Nutrition and Animal Husbandry to Zoos, wildlife and circuses including lively discussions on a whole range of topics.
