Overview
This Certificate in Criminology course 10 week part time course will allow you to analyse crime causation and current legislation in relation to criminology.. Learn from expert criminologists and practitioners in the field.

Criminology is the study of of all aspects of crime and law enforcement including the the social setting of crime, prohibition and prevention, investigation and detection.

Knowledge
This part time course will allow you to analyse crime causation and current legislation in relation to criminology. Apart from the study of the causes of crime, you will explore the responses by law enforcement covering essential areas such as penology, bio-criminology, feminist criminology and the study of crime detection.

The theory and practice of crime and punishment and how crime affects individuals and communities will be examined. Crime prevention stakeholders including An Garda Siochana, the courts, the probation service, the director of public prosecutions and support services will be evaluated.
