Entry Requirements

A Level 6 qualification in aircraft maintenance, an aviation qualification at Level 6 or above or with extensive experience in the aircraft maintenance industry.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE: Applicants who do not have English as their first language must ensure they satisfy English Language requirements. For entry to undergraduate courses, a minimum score of 5.5 in an IELTS exam is required. For postgraduate courses, a minimum of 6.0 is required. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure their English proficiency meets these requirements.

On successful completion of this course, participants will have a detailed knowledge of the aircraft technical documentation required during an aircraft lease transition process. They will be able to devise a structure, plan and accomplish the Lease Transition checklist ensuring no documentation gaps the aircrafts history.

They will be able to evaluate, report and feedback during the process, working with the Lessor and Lessee to manage expectations and achieve a successful redelivery of all required documentation.

The course is developed by CAE Parc Aviation, is validated by the Department of Mechanical and Automobile Engineering at Limerick Institute of Technology as a Level 7 Special Purpose Award with 10 ECTS. The course is facilitated by Atlantic Air Adventure Aviation Centre.

You will study the following subjects as part of this programme: Introduction to Leasing, Aircraft Lease Contracts, Lease Transition Checklists, Maintenance Programs Planning, Continued Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO), Landing Gear and Engines, Structural Repair Data Analysis, Aircraft Records Redelivery Event Open Items Lists, Records Consultant Role, Industry Developments and Trends.

What will the time commitment be?
Each 5 credits will normally equate to approximately 100 Total Learning Hours. Total Learning Hours includes the time you spend in class (lectures, tutorials, practical elements) and the time you spend completing work outside of college. The balance between these two varies by discipline, and by level of study.

You should bear in mind that the workload will increase at particular times e.g. when assignments are due.
