TRIMESTER: Spring

To get started, you need to first complete and submit an online pre-registration form. Applications will reopen again on 8 August 2023.

This module provides an overview of nutrition during each life stage, commencing in utero, and continuing throughout the life cycle. It will discuss the biology of development, growth, maturation and aging and its impact on nutrition requirements, how to assess diet and nutrition status and how nutritional requirements can be achieved in the context of each major life stage.

This module will be delivered online using recorded lectures and live discussions. Students will be given access to recorded lectures and notes each week. Students are required to go through the module content and submit questions for discussion. The live sessions will follow a "journal club" style where students will be asked to read and contribute to discussion of a research paper related to the topic of the week. The live session will focus on hot topics in nutrition research spanning the life-course similar to the module content.
