Who can apply for funding?
If you a job seeker wishing to participate in any of our Pinnacle Training courses you may be entitled to a Department of Social Welfare ‘Training Support Grant ‘ covering some or part of the course.
Funding applies to the full range of courses & programmes offered by Pinnacle Training up to QQI Level 6.
How much grant funding is available?
€1,000 annual grants are available if you’re eligible.
Am I eligible for a grant?
If you are in receipt of a Social Welfare payment, including PUP, you may be eligible for a grant to pay for your course/s at pinnacletraining.ie – up to a maximum of €1,000 per year
The Training Support Grant is designed to support access to the workplace and promote career opportunities.
Decisions on eligibility are made by individual case officers, where case officers have identified an immediate skills gap or obstacle.

All Job Seeker applications for the Training Support Grant must be made via a case officer at your local Intreo Centre.
When your funding has been granted/approved please contact Pinnacle Training and we will book you in to the next available course.
ICDL Digital Citizen is designed for complete beginners and is open to everyone regardless of status, education, age, ability or understanding. There are still many people who have never switched on a computer and are only vaguely aware of the Internet and its uses. Many of these people would like to know more about computers and the Internet but may feel that it’s too complicated or that it’s too late for them to learn. If that sounds like someone you know, ICDL Digital Citizen is the programme for them to overcome their fears and get started with computers.
ICDL Digital Citizen is specially developed to cater for those with no experience whatsoever of computers and the Internet. ICDL Digital Citizen helps to remove the fear of using a computer for complete novices by using a simple, non-threatening approach to educating individuals in the basic skills of using a computer, email and the Internet.
- It is a fun, informal and uncomplicated introduction to computers and the Internet for complete beginners.
- It is designed to give an appreciation and basic understanding of computers and the Internet.
- It is designed to build confidence and provide a basis to encourage further exploration and development of computer and Internet skills.
There are two ICDL Digital Citizen modules:
- ICDL Digital Citizen
- ICDL Digital Citizen Plus
Award Type: ICDL Certificate.
Note: Protection for Enrolled Learners is not required as this course is less than 3 months in duration.
