Entry Requirements

• Education: Applicants should have a standard of knowledge, skill and competence equivalent to NFQ Level 3 when accessing a Level 4 programme. Applicants may have participated in primary and secondary education although no formal qualifications are required.
• Aptitude: Applicants must have a motivation to learn, an interest in the subject and the ability to acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies set out in the course.
• Previous Experience: Applicants must be able to demonstrate a moderate range of knowledge, skills and competencies relevant to the course, be able to work under direction with some ability to work on their own initiative.

Objectives of the course.

• To learn about constructing a basic website, the terminology associated with it, their

functions and features.

• To be able to use a text editor to insert HTML tags, and create a webpage.

• To develop a webpage / website which has clear presentation and proper use of colour

(RGB)

• To develop a webpage / website which has easy to use navigational features

Employability Statement
On completion of this module learners will be equipped with the skills to design and construct a basic website. The credits from this module can be used towards a full Level 4 Award which will enable employment, under direct supervision, in a variety of sectors, or progression to further education or training.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this programme learners will have acquired a broad range of generic skills which will enable employment, under direct supervision, in a variety of sectors, or progression to further education or training.
