This award is ideal for those for whom English is not their first language - it will allow you to communicate well in social, cultural and or work environments, operating independently while under general direction.
Course Content:
Society and culture in Ireland
Standard vocabulary, everyday terms and topics and those related to areas of interest and or work
Grammar and syntax
Oral, aural and written communications, to include formal correspondence, making and receiving telephone calls, and providing or using local services
Reading and writing skills
Exchanging information in a range of settings
Portfolio / Collection of Work 50%, Skills Demonstration 50%.
