Minimum Entry Requirements
Leaving Certificate: O6/H7 in 5 subjects or Leaving Certificate Applied or QQI Level 4. Equivalent qualifications will be considered. Mature applicants who have relevant industry experience and may not meet the above requirements are welcome to apply.

QQI 5M18518 Media Production major award may be used to apply to a broad range of courses in the CAO at Levels 6,7 & 8 via the Higher Education Links Scheme leading to a career in festival promotion, branding, marketing, advertising, interactive design, and User Experience Design (UX).
You may also find you have the skills, knowledge and confidence gained from this course to develop or start your own business idea.

About The Course
Social Media Production and Digital Marketing will help you to explore your creativity and to develop techniques to express your ideas on social media platforms. Social Media Performers, Bloggers, Influencers and Producers with passion and flair, good visual awareness, and an interest in design, advertising, the internet and technology will be excited by this course. You will be introduced to the practical, creative and performance skills you need to succeed in the digital society and creative industries. Our academic team is highly experienced in performance and production in media, teaching you how to advertise, perform, record, edit and produce shorts films and clips suitable for social media.
During your studies, you will have access to a wide range of industry standard production equipment. This course will lead to progression in FET or Higher Education and entry level employment in a number of creative roles across the creative industries and arts world including the theatre industry, festival promotion, branding, marketing, advertising, interactive design, and User Experience Design (UX).
