Entry Requirements
Applicants must be over 16 years of age and have completed their Leaving Certificate with five O6 grades or five passes pre 2017.
For mature students these requirements need not apply and applications may be considered based on a proven interest in the field of Digital Marketing.
Applications are welcome from those in existing employment who are seeking to upskill or reskill into this industry.
Careers / Further progression
On successful completion of the traineeship and QQI Award you can apply for employment opportunities within the host companies or related job roles for example in photography, videography, marketing, e-business, social media management, web design, content management, graphic design and creative media. This is also an opportunity for you to use these skills as an entrepreneur.

* LyIT - Graphic and Digital Design Level 7.

There are no fees for this course. You may be entitled to a training allowance, travel or accommodation allowance, a meal allowance and access to the National Childcare Scheme (NCS).
If you are in receipt of a Social Welfare payment you may be able to continue with these payments or change to a Training Allowance please check with your DSP Officer.

This Traineeship is an opportunity for you be part of an exciting, modern, cutting-edge programme of training that focuses on digital marketing and content creation.
A significant focus of this course is how to manage social media platforms for business such as Instagram and Tiktok. You will learn about current social media trends, using analytics to help the performance of posting on-line and how to create engaging image and video content.
The programme places an emphasis on digital content creation using state of the art equipment such as Drones, DSLR cameras and Gimbals. You will also be upskilled in project management, creating and maintaining websites, graphic design, digital illustration, digital animation and creating and editing digital videos.
Every business uses social media and being skilled in this area is highly desirable and sought after by employers. This is also an opportunity for you to use these skills as an entrepreneur.
The learning environment includes access to Monaghan Institute state of the art Apple MAC suite where trainees received a free account with Adobe Creative Cloud, gaining access to the latest industry standard packages for content creation. As part of this course individuals will have the option to complete an additional qualification Adobe Certified Associate (ACA). This is an industry recognised accreditation and is completely funded as part of the course.
Trainees will have the opportunity to carry out work placement with local companies throughout the course. Previous applicants have been placed with community groups, sports organisations, educational providers, theatre groups, hospitality companies and digital content creators.
Applications are welcome from those who are currently in employment who wish to upskill or reskill.
The course is fully funded. A Training Allowance is paid to those in receipt of a Social Welfare payment. Individuals may be entitled to Travel or Accommodation Allowance, A Meal Allowance and access to the National Childcare Scheme.
