The course will provide you with the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to ensure adults or children with special needs are offered the same opportunity to access education compared to those who do not have special needs. You will examine the different educational options available for children in Ireland under current legalisation. This course will outline the importance of the difference between an inclusive and integrated educational environment. You will also study the impact of special needs on behaviour and understand the different techniques to help with maladaptive behaviour. On successful completion you will receive a QQI Level 6 Certificate in Special Needs Assisting
