No academic requirements for over 23s

Places are offered following successful interview (May and September)

Successful candidates will be required to have obtained Garda Clearance before commencing their work experience module.

All students are recommended to have received 3 doses of the Hepatitis B vaccine before commencing their work experience.

Student Uniform

All students must wear a uniform in College and on work placement. This consists of a ceil blue (unisex) tunic, navy cardigan or a plain zip up navy fleece (no hoddies), navy trousers, black/navy leather closed flat shoes (laced/velcro) and black/navy socks. A plain white short sleeved tee shirt under the tunic is permitted. Student ID badges must be worn on campus and work placement.

Course Details

This course introduces the learner to the role of the nurse and provides an understanding of the knowledge and skills required to pursue a career in the nursing profession. Practical elements and work experience enable the learner to gain hands on experience and a real insight into the caring profession.
