If music is your passion, this exciting course could lead you into the music industry. You’ll need to be able to play an instrument or sing. On the course you will learn the skills required of a modern performer such as how to rehearse and perform in live gigs, how to make the most of working in a recording studio and also the business side of the music industry. Performance, theory, aural training and composition are combined with technology skills to provide a varied training programme.

Course Overview
If music is your passion, this exciting course could lead you into the music industry. You’ll need to be able to play an instrument or sing. On the course you will learn the skills required of a modern performer such as how to rehearse and perform in live gigs, how to make the most of working in a recording studio and also the business side of the music industry. Performance, theory, aural training and composition are combined with technology skills to provide a varied training programme. The outstanding facilities include rehearsal spaces, recording studios, Apple Mac suites and a 170 seat theatre. You will have the opportunity to learn and develop technical skills and benefit from the knowledge and experience of tutors. Students have recently won three 1st prizes in the MUSIC SKILLS NI inter college competitions as well as Gold and Silver in the UK World Skills Popular Music in recent years.
