The course is designed for students who specifically want to progress onto a Level 6 within Rathmines College in Advanced Media or a Level 7 or Level 8 in Media, Journalism or Communications courses in DCU, TU Dublin, IADT, and UCD. - Mature Applicants welcome.
- All applicants whose first language is not English will be tested at entry

QQI Level 5 Award holders are eligible to progress onto Rathmines College’s Level 6 Advanced Certificate in News and Media in the Digital Age or apply to a wide variety of Higher Education colleges see www.cao.ie and www.qqi.ie. Graduates meeting the specified criteria (Distinctions in 5 nominated modules) may apply for progress to DCU, TU Dublin and IADT Degree Programmes in Communications and Journalism.

The course will teach learners the fundamental skills to work in the Media industry across a variety of platforms. The course keeps pace with the ever evolving media landscape. It incorporates the practical skills and tools that allow learners to successfully pursue a career in media and journalism, including researching and writing, radio production, and technical skills.
