Course Description:
Mindfulness based Stress reduction (MBSR) 8 week, in person skills based training course to look at stress in our lives, how to recognise the signals and explore a better way to manage the inevitable stressors in daily life. Mindfulness training is an opportunity to pause, stop and be still. Mindfulness is about seeing and accepting things are they are in the present moment, without wishing them to be different. Mindfulness helps to promote resilience and to reduce stress, to live life with greater contentment and improve concentration and mental clarity, build emotional intelligence, and the ability to relate to others and one’s self with kindness, acceptance, and compassion.

Course Content:
Course content includes: - Awareness of ‘automatic pilot’, unhelpful thoughts - Moving from ‘doing to ‘being’, promoting resilience - Accepting, allowing and letting be The way forward – Taking care of myself Who should attend? Anyone interested in finding calm in a busy world. No prior experience or training required, just curiosity and openness. A resource pack will be provided to all participants including audio meditations, mindful yoga, mindful walking, home practice and session notes Facilitator: Mai Kerins, is a Guidance Counsellor, Mindfulness Teacher, Supervisor and Counsellor working with adults and adolescents. Her work includes individual and group facilitation.

There is no class on the Bank Holiday Monday 31st October 2022.
