Leaving Certificate: O6/H7 in 5 subjects or QQI Level 4 Equivalent qualifications will be accepted. Mature applicants who have relevant experience and may not meet the above entry requirements are welcome to apply.

About the Course
This course introduces you to the ever popular and fascinating field of Psychology and it will equip you with an understanding of the core theories, treatments, educational and preventative strategies in work in mental health agencies.

Positive mental health is particularly relevant in Ireland today in a wide variety of contexts including the workplace, education and the wider community.

Through the modules delivered, you will be encouraged to critically evaluate and deliver creative, positive and practical interventions in Health Promotion. Work experience is focused around vulnerable and marginalised groups in the community which develops your skills and competence for employment.

If you wish to progress to higher education, you will have access to Career Guidance support in choosing the right type of people-focused career pathway after the course.
