NFQ Level 8 degree (or equivalent) minimum level 2nd class honours in Business, Tourism, Community Studies or a cognate discipline. IELTS score of at least 6.0 where English is not a first language.

This MA in Regenerative Tourism will provide you with the opportunity to become an active player in the transition to Regenerative and Sustainable tourism. You will learn how to deploy regenerative tourism strategies to innovate tourism development for a more holistic, balanced approach and deliver net positive benefits for communities and the environment through applied projects. The programme design incorporates three key pillars of learning.

Enjoy the benefits of a supportive/supported and flexible online learning delivery through the MTU virtual learning environment:
Two Evenings per week (3 hours contact each evening) - Three x 12-week semesters

Synchronous Lectures & Tutorials - Live interaction, group discussions, case studies, problem-based learning, flipped classroom, and masterclasses from world leading experts.

Asynchronous Lectures - Directed study, videos, podcasts, structured reading, discussion boards - The Universal Design for Learning (UDL) approach is embedded in teaching, learning and assessment strategies to provide a more flexible learning environment to accommodate the needs and abilities of all learners.

A FLEXIBLE FRAMEWORK TOWARDS A MASTER QUALIFICATION

We have designed a suite of programmes to facilitate candidates who do not wish to commit to a full master award. The following programmes can be taken individually and all contribute towards a master award if candidates wish to progress.
