Building Services with Sustainable Energy - Top Up
The overarching aim of the BEng (Hons) Building Services with Sustainable Energy programme is to produce high calibre graduates who shall have obtained the relevant competencies to undertake roles within one of the many disciplines of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and Energy. The programme has been developed to produce professional and competent project managers and engineers equipped with industry relevant technical and managerial skills. Skills Focus funding available towards course fees for eligible employers to up skill staff or for self employed students.

Entry Requirements
Entry to the BEng Honours Top-Up programme requires applicants to have successfully completed a Foundation Degree (or other relevant Level 5 qualification such as a Higher National Diploma) in a related discipline, qualifications deemed equivalent, or by the college’s policy relating to APL. Students must also hold GCSE English Language and Maths at grade 4 (grade C) or above. (Level 2 literacy and numeracy qualifications are also accepted).
Where an applicant does not hold the formal academic requirements for entry to the programme but can demonstrate relevant experiential learning across a range of industries, they may apply for admission through the College Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) process. In such cases, contact the Course Director for the programme who will advise further.
Candidates presenting with an ordinary degree (bachelor's without honours) in this subject area, and who wish to top up to a full honours degree (bachelor's with honours), may be considered under Recognition of Prior Learning RPL procedures.

Upon successful completion of the BEng (Hons) in Building Services with Sustainable Energy programme graduates may consider entering into employment within the mechanical, electrical or energy industries or continuing to study by applying for a place on a post-graduate programme i.e. MSc.
