Entry Requirements
Minimum
• Applicants must be 18+ years of age on entry to the course.
• Leaving Cert, LCVP, LCA or QQI Level 4 Major Award.
• Mature applicant route available for applicants aged 23+.
• Competent written and spoken English (CEFR B1 or Higher).
• Non-EU/EEA applicants must have permission to work in Ireland.
• Must pass a 200m unaided swim test.
• Must pass a Colour Vision test. • PADI Medical clearance from a GP.
Additional
• Excellent level of physical fitness.
• Willing and able to work in all weathers and in remote locations.
• Willing to travel for work - 95% of the time.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Good computer skills.
• Garda vetting is a requirement for this programme and participation is subject to satisfactory outcome of the Garda vetting process.

What are the employment opportunities?
Participation in water based sports is on the increase in Ireland. This has led to an increase in the demand for highly skilled and qualified Scuba Diving Instructors.
Graduates will seek employment in a Scuba Schools or Water Activity Centres on our coastline or abroad.
