Further information

Apprenticeships are ‘earn as you learn‘ model combining learning in the workplace with structured time in an education setting. You cannot apply to be an Apprentice like other programmes.

The first step to becoming an apprentice is being engaged by an employer who has the relevant skills and knowledge available to support you being qualified in that field.

There is a broad range of apprenticeships available varying in duration from 2 years for most post 2016 apprenticeships to 4 years for Standards based craft apprenticeship.

Bishopstown Campus is the main hub for Apprenticeship in Cork ETB, liaising with employers and apprentices throughout their programme delivery to ensure they succeed. We run some programmes within our own facilities both in Rossa Avenue and the Westside Hospitality Centre. For others we provide the support service but they are run either in other Cork ETB locations or in other training provider locations.
