• Education: Applicants must have reached Leaving Cert Standard and/or have excellent IT Skills.

• Aptitude: Good learning ability and numerical aptitude.

• Previous Experience: Must have a knowledge of HTML and CSS

JavaScript is also a base language for a series of frameworks, including React, Vue, Angular and Node.js, making it an essential feature of the current web landscape. This is reflected in the number of positions available for JavaScript developers across a spectrum of web related jobs.

INTRODUCTION
JavaScript is a programming language supported by all modern web browsers. Along with HTML and CSS, it forms a core part of most websites we visit today. On this course, learn about the fundamentals of programming: variables, arrays, loops, objects, functions and more. Discover ES6 features and begin your journey into JavaScript frameworks by building a simple component based website using ReactJS. This blended learning programme (a mix of in-centre and online delivery) aims to introduce candidates already familiar with HTML and CSS to the JavaScript programming language.

JavaScript course covering: core programming features, ES6, and introduction to ReactJS.

Programme with JavaScript Operators, Methods, and Keywords

Programme with Variables, Data Types, and Functions

Implement and Analyse Decisions and Loops

Interact with the Document Object Model

Interact with HTML Forms

Use JavaScript ES6 Features

Create a simple component based React App

Learners will also complete the “Information Technology Specialist in JavaScript” exam
