This programme is designed to provide students with a grounding in the scientific method of strength and conditioning application. Learners will be guided through the programme by active strength and conditioning professionals across key areas of study including physiology, resistance training, psychology and nutrition, with a focus on practical application of strength and conditioning. The programme also allows for exit awards in years 1 and 2.

Study Hours
It is recommended to allow 10-12 hours per 10 credit module per week for teaching, learning and additional study purposes.

On-Campus Attendance
One or two days attendance required per module at the Letterkenny Campus.

Entry Requirements

Entry Requirements Applicants should be over 21 years by 1 January in the proposed year of entry and the successful completion of at least 5 subjects in the Irish Leaving Certificate (or an equivalent international exam). Maths and either English or Irish are required. Candidates who do not meet the above entry requirement may be admitted to the programme on the grounds of mature years (Over 23 by 1st January in the proposed year of entry), if they have attained appropriate experience and attainment thresholds deemed equivalent.
