Fee €245. Examination fee of €20 is payable for non medical card holders for certification of the course. If you have a valid medical card you will be exempt from the examination fee but a copy of this must be emailed on application to nightclasses@mayocollege.ie

Participants will learn the skills to carry out beauty industry standard skin care and nail treatments. The learner will firstly understand the anatomy of the head, face and skin before progressing to the principles of basic skin, nail and eye treatments. He/she will be able to identify the basic ingredients of all products and be able to carry out a basic skin, eye and nail analysis and identify any contraindications to treatments. The course will cover the processes of skin cleansing, eyelash tinting, eyebrow tinting/bleaching and shaping, nail filing and painting and facial hair bleaching within acceptable industry time limits. It will also cover the importance of professional conduct, client care, maintaining good professional relationships with employers, colleagues, crew members and suppliers and the importance of safe and hygienic work practices.
