Foundational Stitches & Techniques. Introduction to Ecbroidery tools, threads, fabric and equipment.
Learn the basic embroidery stitches including outlining stitches – straight stitch, back stitch, chain stitch, stem stitch, couching, slit stitch and sew 3D techniques.
Learn about the main stitches – sating stitch, seed stitch, feather stitch, fly stitch, blanket stitch.
Decorative stitches – French knots bullion stitch, spider web
How to transfer a design to fabric. Embroidery and item of clothing – e.g. a favorite top or blouse.
About us
Women’s Community Projects (Mullingar) Association Ltd is a registered QQI provider and offers a range of education and training opportunities for learners. We run an Adult Education project, a Back to Education Initia-tive (BTEI), and a Local Training Initiative (LTI).
Our adult learning department offers QQI programmes in Levels 3, 4, 5 & 6.
We also provide a variety of supports including a childcare service for those who attend these programmes. Childcare programmes includes a crèche, preschool and an after school facility. Spaces are limited so apply early.
