Entry Requirements
Successful completion of CompTIA A+ certification.

Applicants under 23 years of age:
Old Leaving Cert (Pre 2017)
5 Ordinary Level D3s (subjects to include a language, English, Irish or another language) or equivalent exam taken.

New Leaving Cert
5 O6/H7 grades, to include a language (English, Irish or another language).

Applicants over 23 years of age (Mature students):
If you are 23 years or over from the 1st January of this year, you can apply for this course directly using the College’s online application form.

Validate your knowledge and skills as an IT and Networking Technician
This course is an international, vendor-neutral certification that recognises a technician's abilities in essential skills required as a network or system administrator. The course validates the technical skills necessary to securely establish, maintain and troubleshoot the essential networks that businesses rely on.

Technical skills include: installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance and monitoring of IT infrastructure, software-defined networks, and the appropriate handling of protocols and services in an organization’s network operations.

This course focuses on the development of professional skills and does not sit on the national framework; however, it leads to a Griffith College award.

The aim of this course is to help to prepare you for CompTIA's Network+ Certification exam.

CompTIA Network + certification supports and advances career development of IT professionals in network administration and course content includes new and emerging technologies.

The CompTIA Network+ certification is conducted on a part-time evening basis over a 10-week period. This course is designed to start or advance your networking career and is popular with individuals looking to become Network Administrators, or to validate knowledge of networking by becoming certified.
