Booking for autumn and spring 2023-24 will open on Tuesday 08 August 2023. You can book your course online through our website (see Application Weblink below).

You can book by phone on 01 716 7123. Please note that bookings are very busy during the first few days and we’ll do our best to respond to voicemails, however, your place is not guaranteed until your booking is confirmed.

Some classes fill quickly and to avoid disappointment we recommend that students book as early as possible. Classes without minimum numbers will be cancelled, this usually happens a week before the class is due to commence.

The lecture series will consider developments in attitudes towards the enterprise of patronage and collecting, the growth of portraiture as a genre and as a reflection of societal and cultural change, and finally it will explore the place and role of women in the art world as they work on a par with male counterparts albeit contrary to contemporary social conventions.
