Further Study
Graduates have successfully progressed to a wide variety of Level 9 Postgraduate courses in the areas of Leadership in Therapeutic Child & Social Care, Social Care Management, Social Work, Counselling, Psychotherapy, Play Therapy and Health Promotion. Some have also continued their academic studies through to Ph.D. level.

Course Outline
This is a 1 year ‘add-on’ Level 8 degree programme for graduates of the B.A. in Applied Social Studies (Professional Social Care). The programme broadens students’ understanding of Social Care Theory and Practice; it deepens their knowledge and skill base for evidence-based practice; and it offers an opportunity to research their own area of interest within the broad Social Care field. There is a particular emphasis on enhancing students’ employability skills, professional development and leadership capacity.

Why complete an add-on year?
• Gain the opportunity to carry out supervised field research with the guidance of one-to-one supervision.
