Entry Requirements
There is specific entry criteria detailed below for students wishing to do the PMP® Project Management Professional certification course.
PMP ® eligibility criteria
• Secondary degree (high school diploma, ordinary degree or the global equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years/ 60 months unique non-overlapping PM experience
• 35 contact hours of project management education OR active CAPM holder
Or
• Four-year degree (Bachelors degree or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years/ 36 months unique non-overlapping PM experience
• 35 contact hours of project management education OR active CAPM holder
• All project management experience must have been accrued within the last eight consecutive years prior to your application submission.

Registering for the PMP course exam
CMI will provide a Certificate of attendance for the minimum 42 contact hours of instruction that addressed the learning objectives on the PMP course in project management. You can become a student member of PMI prior to registering for the exam which will save you on exam fees. The PMI approved online course work must be completed at the time of taking your examination.
You are granted a 1-year eligibility period in which to pass the examination. During the eligibility period, you may take the examination up to three times should you fail. The good news is CMI students consistently achieve a 92% pass rate.
