Course Description
The following are programmes available, terms and conditions relating to and policies in place for Non EEA students enrolled in long term programmes of 25 weeks + at Atlantic S.E.A.L.
Courses on The Interim List of Eligible Programmes (ILEP) will be, from October 2015, the only listing the Department of Justice and Immigration will consider in visa applications by students from Non-EEA countries. From this date permission to attend a 25-week English-language course will be reduced from 12 months to 8 months. These permissions are renewable in strict conformance with Department of Justice & INIS criteria. www.inis.gov.ie
End of course exam
All students will be registered for the recognised and approved exam that will take place at the end of their programme by the School Administration Manager Jonathon Louks (office@atlantic-english.com 00353 28 27714). A recognised and approved exam must be taken by all non- EEA students on a long term study programme. The dates will be clarified at the beginning of your programme and arrangements will be made to help you go to the Cork city exam centre. You will be registered for the appropriate exam within the registration deadline and your fees will include the exam registration fee. The school will file away and scan/save copies of the results of your exam and you will receive the original certificate gained. Your level will be assessed before the course and regularly assessed throughout. Entry levels for the various exams courses are clearly indicated and explained to the student. Students sign a letter to show agreement that they must take an exam at the end and Atlantic SEAL will register them for this exam and organise transport to the exam centre in Cork city. This letter will be available for inspection at any time when requested by the student or authorities.
Grades achieved will be recorded and this is sent to both the school and the students. This record is available on request to students, INIS and relevant internal personnel, Data protection permissions are agreed with students.
