Beauty Therapy
This course provides the foundation to the latest Beauty Therapy techniques. Students have the opportunity to gain internationally recognised diplomas in beauty therapy. Successful participants are equipped with qualifications and knowledge to gain employment in a wide variety of settings. Students also have excellent opportunities to progress within the college to more advanced treatments and therapies.

Duration

This programme is a full time course, Monday to Thursday, 9.00 to 3.30 & Friday 9.00 to 1.00 (approximately).
Entry Requirements
Leaving Cert Standard or Equivalent.
Preparation for Level 5 - Beauty Therapy
Mature students welcome.
VTOS Places are available on this course.
Careers / Further progression
Educational Progression
Many students progress within the college to Advanced Beauty Therapy with a focus on Beauty Aesthetics or Complementary Treatments. Mature entry routes to Higher Education are also available.
Employment
This course prepares the students for employment in a variety of settings within the beauty industry, such as salons, pop-up-salons, , beauty salons, health spas, hotels, cruise liners as and self-employment therapists and brand ambassadors

Registration Fee - €50 (non refundable, secures your place)
Course charges - €250 (Includes QQI exam Fee)
ITEC Exam Fees - approximately €300 (2 Diplomas)
Uniforms, kit and books - €200 approximately

Course charges - under review for reduction.
Many additional exemptions from fees for medical card holders, those in Receipt of the SUSI grant, Back to Education Allowance or VTOS.
Students may apply for a grant through www.susi.ie
Some students are eligible for places on VTOS courses or through the DSP through back to education allowance.
Applications for Further Education courses are open in mid December each year.
Facilities and Experience
Beauty Facilities have been completely renovated in the last 3 years and the college has two state of the art fully equipped treatment suites.
Students in the college run a live salon each Friday, allowing them to interact with real clients and gain valuable experience and confidence as therapists.
