Entry Requirements

This add on programme was developed as a progression route from the Higher Certificate in Accounting currently paused for entry on the CAO however students may gain advanced entry to this accounting add on if they can demonstrate a competence in accounting i.e. a student who has completed an accounting technician course could be admitted to the L7 add-on in accounting and then the L8 add-on.

Students from Higher Certificate in Business can move across to this Add on but they would have to attempt two additional modules from BA year 1 to ensure they qualify for the professional exam exemptions when they qualify.

This L7 add-on is identical to Year 2 of the BA in Accounting, the L8 add-on is the same as year 3 of the BA in Accounting, giving students a 4 year route.
