Learn everything you need to know about your bike from basics. No stone left unturned. This is a beginner’s course with no experience needed that is suitable for those who wish to gain knowledge and skill whilst learning about the art of cycle maintenance

COURSE DESCRIPTION
• Types of tools required within a cycle workshop

• Lubrication and cleaners, Diagnosing problems with a bike, Puncture repairs, identifying sizes and replacing / repairing tubes, tyres and inner tubes

• Installing, removing and re-threading Pedals, Crank arm square type, splined and use of cotters, Chain rings removal, types of Chains, , fitting, removing and getting the correct length alignment, Rear sprocket removal and fitting, bottom bracket removal and fitting, cartridge type, adjustable type, rethreading and facing, Hub servicing and adjustments

• Headsets and spokes servicing/ replacements, Wheel truing, Brake systems, calliper, linear, side pull, dual pivot, Brake cables and housing

• Gear systems, STI levers, twist grips, down tube, thumb levers, Gear cables and housing, Front and rear derailleur fitting and indexing/adjustment

• Stems, handlebars and seat posts, types, fitting measuring and adjusting, Fitting accessories
