Entry Requirements
All students must have the full Hepatitis B vaccine prior to work experience. Please discuss this with your GP as the first part of the vaccine may be due before commencing the course in September.
Students will be expected to have passed the Leaving Certificate including ordinary level maths and Biology at least.
Garda Vetting
Garda Vetting is a requirement on all our courses. If you are aware of issues that may arise during this process it is advisable to bring these to our attention on submission of your application.

All PLC students can apply for a maintenance grant, subject to eligibility for the duration of their course. Students may also be eligible to maintain social welfare payments while doing our PLC courses.

Aim of Course
This is a one year full time (September - May) progression course. The aim of this course is to introduce students to the academic and practical implications of following a career in Nursing. It is designed to develop communication, intellectual, practical and caring skills.
