Furniture Making
Over the course of this class, participants will work through a variety of projects during which they will learn basic woodworking and furniture making skills. Correct use of power and hand tools will be thought. Participants will learn how to prepare solid timber and panel board. Finishing and polishing techniques will also be covered. No previous woodworking or furniture making skills are required, but those who have some experience in the area will also be catered for. Each individual will work through projects at their own pace, and those who have attended this class in previous terms are welcome to return. We have two tutors helping out with the Tuesday class and the Wednesday class is quite small, so participants are sure to receive all the individual attention they need to improve their woodworking skills at their own pace. Our woodworking classes are very popular. Be sure to book early to avoid disappointment. If you’d like to work with wood, but the woodworking/ furniture making isn’t quite what you were looking for, why not check out our Woodturning and Woodcarving classes?

Classes will be subject to public health guidance at the time.
Please do not attend class if you have any COVID-19 symptoms.
